‘A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.’ Steve Maraboli.
Out of respect for the tragic events last Friday in Christchurch. Today our School Student Council representatives paid their respects on behalf of our school to the local Muslim Community and the people of Christchurch by laying flowers outside the Hawera Islamic Centre and the Christchurch memorial heart.
They read powerful messages of support, love, hope and peace.
On their travels, they also visited Hawera Primary School to offer gifts of kindness and comfort from their School Community and especially to Mrs Jeftha.
Kia Kaha Christchurch. Kakaramea School stands by you 💛
