One person has died following a water-related incident at Oakura Beach, Oakura, New Plymouth. Emergency services were advised around 8.25pm on Monday that a person had been pulled from the water in a critical condition. Medical attention was administered, but the person died at the scene. condolences to all involved.

Police confirmed they were called to the Anzco Foods plant on London St, Eltham, about 6.25am this morning. WorkSafe confirmed the death to 1 NEWS this morning. Inquiries are underway, a spokesperson said. It's understood the plant has been closed while the death is being investigated.
